Lightbulb March on your state capital

At noon on 1-19-2013. We are asking that anyone who cares about you Second Amendment Right go to your State Capital and let your voice be heard. The people that are organizing this are asking politely that you do not bring your guns with you.

A march and demonstration on the steps of the US Capitol would be more effective so we can attempt (perhaps vainly) to wake up the idiots that infest both chambers of our once proud and productive legislature. Federal law pre-empts state statutes. We just have to step over the deceased brain zombies that have died of starvation outside these once-hallowed walls.

Of course it is about the fact that apparently Obama himself is going
to personally go door to door taking every gun that has ever existed from every "Amurrican"
All part of his "Mooslim Prez I hate America 2013" tour.
That is if you believe the far right

Many states are attempting to put limits on many kinds of firearms that are very restrictive to hunters and law abiding persons. The states and federal government already has laws on the books that if properly enforced against unlawful people we will not need wasted time and money, clogging the courts with law challenges to new laws that are unconstitutional. They are going after "assault weapons" just on how they look. Take the AR-15 platform. This one rifle, is at this time, looked at as if it only is used for killing people when in fact because of its modular design and adaptability it is being used for sport in many calibers for small game to big game to sitting and punching paper. What many gun owners are saying is stop wasting are time and money on this kind of stuff and we wish to show that any restrictions or taxes on firearms is not ok. This is not meant to be a call to arms it is meant to say to the people that are in the government that any restrictions will be seen as an insult to people who are using those firearms legally. In Colorado some sheriffs are already saying they will not enforce laws that are more restrictive.

This is what our so called leaders need to see again in Wash DC. (see pic)
For those who weren't around in the sixties, this really happened.
It's not a Photoshopped picture.

Too bad we haven't the guts to take a stand
as a whole on many issues.

Today, large peaceful assemblies of protest
are often met with batons and tear gas
rather than with respect by the Government.
The Government breeches the peace.

The usual excuse is no permit.
The "permit" is in the constitution.
The part that guarantees the right to peaceably assemble.

Your correct Mike. I was a little disappointed with our turnout considering in the last five years Colorado has had record setting gun sales. If you believe that you should purchase a firearm then why not stand for your ability to do so. Gun violence is down year after year per the F.B.I. and I believe that is because,in part more and more people are arming themselves, and getting proper training.

I went to the capital to turn in my second amendment rights. I wanted to volunteer to give them to someone else who feels theirs have been lost. I was disappointed to see there was nobody to sign them over to. I'm starting to think the government doesn't want to take away these rights afterall. I mean, we have all this gun control legislation but made it impossible to actually enforce it. Much ado about nothing. Just another distraction.

It is apathy like this that makes it easy for a very few to change things for many.

There is no apathy here since the changes being proposed are good for all gun owners.

Default Changes Good For All Gun Owners?

[QUOTE There is no apathy here since the changes being proposed are good for all gun owners.[/QUOTE]

There is apathy but there is ALSO the guy who walks into the local gun shop and believes that the Feinstein's are not after him. He tells me that his 30-30 is safe. His 20GA pump is not on anyone's radar. Oh Really? New Jersey has proposed the following> A heightened tax on ammo, no internet ammo sales, a waiting period to buy ammo and.... Mandatory psychological evaluation of all current gun owners in order to keep your already legally purchased weapons. And you would have to foot the bill to pay for the evaluation. This is then turned over to local police for them to make a determination on your "worthiness" to keep your guns. I have met this type in the gun shop and they have their head in the sand. This same mentality was present in the 1990s during the Clanton... err.. Clinton administration which was doing the same thing. There was a BATF proposal that got stopped, that would have declared this guy's (30-30 owner mentioned above) deer rifle as an assault rifle. Simply put you cannot let these people have 1 inch of success!
