House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday that she opposes
a cut in congressional pay because it would diminish the dignity
of lawmakers' jobs.

If they don't receive a pay cut, at least make'um invest in a 401k type matching fund, pay there on insurance and when they leave office no life long benefits. Oh, and make them work 5 days/week.

None of them deserve any pay. True, there is no dignity associated with either Chamber but that is their own fault. These partisan hacks infesting the sewer on the Potomac should only receive any minimal compensation if they put aside the self-imposed political gamesmanship and gridlock and start doing the work that we sent them there to perform for us - the
Amerrcan people. The whole rotten lot are guilty of misfeasance and malfeasance and should be charged for their criminal neglect of our beloved Constitution.

Pelosi speaking of dignity is outrageous. What about the debt and the deficet and how it looks to the american taxpayer and the rest of the world that's watching us implode? Where's the dignity in that? Congressional members on both sides going back for many years have misspent the people's money.

Seeing as how the criminials that are behind bars only get paid about $1 per hour for their work programs, I think it's perfectly reasonable that the criminals that are free to roam the streets of Washington DC and halls of congress only get paid 50 cents per hour.

Any Senator or House member of either party that considers their actions as having any"dignity" is misleading themselves. The American citizens have lost all sense of respect or trust in these denizens infesting these once hallowed halls. This ruling minority cares naught for the people nor the Constitution that installed them in the job. Our cause is no longer clear and the time is here for either national demise or removal from office. Maybe things will change in four years if we have a president of caucasian descent that they can support. We have become the dis-United States

How did we ever get ourselves in this situation? How can a man who openly went to a church where the pastor preached hatred of whites become president? And now he's out playing golf with Tiger Woods while the country is in dire need of leadership. This going on vacation every other week isn't getting it either. Going on TV man hating shows like ''the talk'' and ''the view'' aren't getting it done. ANd what about Biden? The man is a joke. I wouldn't trust him to run an ice cream store let alone be in congress or VP. Te republicans ought to be ashamed running a weak canidate like Romney. They'd better get it right by 2016 or we're going to just plain give it all away. Wonder what Obama's going to do about the recent China computer hacking? Maybe send them some f4's?
