Sitting presidents rarely attend the funerals of first ladies.

Example, Obummer didn't attend Nancy Reagan's funeral.

You people certainly are something else..

I still prefer a mild nut case over a certified witch. Oops, forgot the B again.

It's way worse than you describe. If the President is so innocent, then why does he spend the better part of his time attacking the investigations. All he has to do is show us the tax returns. That would make a good amount of headway into proving his innocence.

He chooses to fight which only prolongs it and makes the consequences' worse. He's like a little kid that actually believes the crap spewing from his mouth.

I wish him luck.

Who I voted for in the 2016 presidential election, or any election, is my business, not yours.

I'm glad I spent the last few hours cleaning the house. Definitely more satisfying than posting in this thread.

BTW, who are the Democrats lining up to run for President in 2020? Another old, white, male, career politician like Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders? Surely, the Democrats can do better than that.

Perhaps you should have voted for a mild nut case, then.

Except that you kinda lay it bare and invite comment when you participate in these threads and defend some politician over another.

You'd certainly hope they could do better.

I'm thinking of how quickly Clinton was in Oklahoma City after the bombing.
And how fast Barb's #1 son made it to Ground Zero after 9/11.
If I google a bit, I'm fairly certain I could find an example or two where Barack showed up at something along those lines within a couple of days.

Some Trump apologist will be along shortly to explain why it's better that Donald not participate in such things. The security detail is too disruptive, or it'll interfere with the flow of traffic, or he has a really important golf game with some Russian assistant vice foreign minister and there's a "deal" to be made...

OH! and MAGA and sh**.

Yeah.

You left out the obvious answer: The Bush's and their friends, who are old-line Republicans, simply didn't want him there. I have a feeling that a back-channel message was delivered from Houston to the White House which said "you can send Melania, but leave the circus at home".

You might be on to something. That thought never occurred to me.

They probably did not want him there because he would invariably try and make the funeral about him. Say there were record numbers there to see him grieve for Mrs. Bush or some BS like that. ‘She was a great woman, nobody better, the greatest in fact.’

I never thought of that either. Your probably right. Which shows that he's too toxic for his own party.

Now that George H.W. is in intensive care and will likely pass in short order (And we all hope he doesn't), what will Trump do then?

I can't believe most GOP members are still defending this idiot.

Donald Trump has just hit a new milestone. He has now told 3000 lies to the American people.

You Trumpster divers should be so proud of this. He is a real role model.

And so it begins:

U.S. judge questions special counsel's powers in Manafort case
Sarah N. Lynch

“I don’t see what relationship this indictment has with anything the special counsel is authorized to investigate,” U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis in the Eastern District of Virginia said.

At tense hearing at the federal courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia, the judge said Mueller should not have “unfettered power” in his Russia probe and that the charges against Manafort did not arise from the investigation into Moscow’s alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.

And neither should the POTUS have unfettered power. He is not above the law anymore than you or me.

So what does the statement by the judge actually mean? Is it proper that Manafort gets away with his many felonies? Manafort is the most likely one to have colluded (conspired) with Russia. He is a criminal. This is how prosecutions work.

This is why although the judge thinks Mueller is pushing the envelope, he will let it go to trial. Now I could be wrong. I want Mueller to push the envelope. So do almost 70% of the American people.
Oh, and the Russian meddling is no longer alleged. It happened in a big way and we need to get to the bottom of it and hold those persons responsible.

It is interesting that the Judge asked for an UNREDACTED scope of order from DOJ

I wonder if they will give the 1st one or the 2nd one, the 2nd one was altered to show that Corrupt MuleLiar didn't exceed his authority....was WRITTEN AFTER the authority had been exceeded.

Your just dreaming buddy. Nothing phony about it.

Why? Cause Obama didn't screw (without protection) a known porn star while being married and then continuously lie and change the story 4 times. The guy is a sexual pervert. He's being sued on multiple front's for his sick sex life and badly treating women.

That's why.
