BCD325P2/BCD996P2: BCD996P2 cutting out during communication

Hello all,
I have a BCD996P2 that I am having issues with it cutting out when receiving a transmission. It will start to receive then the voice will cut out for a couple seconds and then pick back up for a couple seconds and then cut out again. The county is operating on a P25 Phase 2 system. I used the proscan and uploaded the frequencies from here. Did I miss a step somewhere or have a setting off? Any help would be appreciated.

Close Call, priority or weather priority are probably enabled.

That or simulcast issues if it's truly more than 1-2 seconds of dropout.

could you help a little by posting what system you are trying to listen to ?
and this might sound odd.
what is the squelch set to ?

Thank you all for the help. It was the Close call that was causing the issue
