We all know that there is a price to pay for the convenience of buying locally. He will have to decide if he is willing to pay for that convenience.

I bought mine from Radioworld in Toronto. It took 4 days to get here and the after-sales staff are very helpful. Picked up a PSR-800 for $450

And I have purchased scanners [note scanners] from NTF and if you know the prices, I was able to get them for about $5 or $10 more than Radioworld or Durham had listed on their site. And much less than listed on NTF web site. Doesn't hurt to ask if NTF can match the price. Maybe he gave me a deal because he knows I will buy locally and support a local company.
