Hey,

I want to get back into scanning and I just found out that the Prince George, BC RCMP recently switched to a new, digital system.

Does anyone know anything about this system? Is it P25? Do we have any info about this?

Thanks a lot.

RCMP are migrating to P25 encrypted. Prince George has already gone digital with encryption. They no longer use their old analog radios. as is most of the country now a days.... if encryption available. .. chances are theyll use it.

It is P25, conventional. Here is the ****ty news: It is full time AES-256 encrypted. No you can not decode it. AES-256 keeps ALL unauthorized listeners out. The only way you are going to be able to listen is to attain employment with RCMP... or end up in a patrol unit...
