It's been awhile since I checked on the UID with the Calgary Fire Department.
I noticed that they are now in the 60000s for UID numbering.
(ie. 60800 = Rescue 2, 60169=Rescue 26, 60155=Engine 20, 60152=Engine 19)

Has this been going on for awhile? When did this change over?

Does anyone have have the new UID numbering system file for the BCD436HP?

Thanks for the updated info ...
Guess I missed the thread since I was out of the country till Mid April.

BTW, do you have a completed UID list you could attach or PM me?

There's little point. Radio ID numbers seem to be changing from unit to unit on a somewhat frequent basis. What is Rescue 9 today was Engine 12 three weeks ago, and so forth.

Sorry but I can't agree with you on that statement ...
It is true for the Calgary Police Service.

However Fire Apparatus doesn't change that often unless they are going for repairs and need a spare.
As for portables, each member on the truck has a radio.
With a press of the emergency button, Dispatch will know what truck and position they are looking for.
The only downfall is that at some stations, they are not consistent with the location of the portable radios on the apparatus. So all you really know for some is what station they are from.

I'm still working on a complete list of apparatus, and portable UID #s.
I'll keep listening and let the group know.

Sorry, but CalgaryActive is correct here.

I run Trunk88 on the system pretty hard, and notice that while CPS does shuffle RIDs, so do CFD radios — both mobile and portable.

I caught and recorded probably about 70% of the new RIDs during radio checks when they commissioned their new radios recently, and I'd say well over a quarter of the RIDs I snagged have changed to different trucks or crews.

I also hear fire captains discussing unknown RIDs or radios that've changed hands with dispatch every so often, too.

I've been trying to maintain a RID list through my Trunk88 logs, but they change far too much to be of much use.
