MURS in P25 mode?

Was curious whether it is permissable to transmit on the VHF MURS channels using P25 digital (simplex, 2 watt max power)?

What about using encryption in either analog or digital (DES/OFB) on MURS?

Digital and data seem to be allowed by the FCC rules, so P25 should be okay....check out the PRSG (Personal Radio Steering Group) WEB page, they have a lot of info on it.

This is what is allowed in MURS:

(j) A MURS transmitter must transmit only emission types A1D, A2B,
A2D, A3E, F2B, F1D, F2D, F3E, G3E. Emission types A3E, F3E and G3E
include selective calling or tone-operated squelch tones to establish or
continue voice communications. MURS transmitters are prohibited from
transmitting in the continuous carrier mode.

APCO 25 is F1E according to my data and is not allowed in Part 95 MURS nor is encryption.
