Problem Monitoring system cinventional channels in Digital..

I have a Transcrypt Stealth 25 that I have programmed with convetional channels from a type 2 astro digital system. I have tried the defualt APCO defualt nac code and nothing, I can see the monitor light come on and I get bits and peices of the digital traffic when I keep tapping the monitor button. Anybody have any ideas on this???
