Question P-25 System Programming

Do you enter all of the frequencies for a P-25 system, like you do for LTR systems, or just the control and alternate control frequencies?

Just the control channels. BUT, there are a few systems that use a logical format similar to LTR and EDACS. Somewhere in Michigan I think uses that format.

What band is the system you're trying to listen to using? Some bands require some more work to get them to work correctly besides just programming in the control channel frequencies and the alternates.

If the system is a P25 trunked system in the 700 MHz or 800 MHz bands, it should only require the control channel(s) - Wayne, what are the system(s) in Michigan that need more than that? I'm curious...

Yea most standard P25 systems only require CC.

Along with this,

I am trying to monitor the Ohio MARCs frequency Scanner Frequencies: State of Ohio MARCS - Multi-Agency Radio Communications Trunking System, Statewide, Multi-State and had success at first with the Carey(Wyandot) site 2-023 as it is the nearest to my town. Now in the chanel, I receive nothing. I have all the talk groups correct, the bank is in closed mode. I have put only the CC in and nothing, I have also put the CC and AltCCs in there and nothing. I have even tried changing sites to see if that would work and nothing.

I have a Pro-2096 I picked up as an experiment to see about monitoring the system where I am at. I also have conventional 8000mhz and VHF frequencies programmed in the scanner but in differant banks. I can still receive these without any issues. I have tried to just isolate the 0 bank (where the MARCs info is in) and it show it is in scan but nothing will come up.

I feel like there might be a simple fix to this but since I am new to this system I have been running into roadblocks.

Thanks!!
