How to listen to P25?

I'm new to digital, trunking, P25 and all this. I know you can scan trunking and maybe digital... what about P25? Are there any scanners you can use to listen to it or do you have to have a commercial radio.

Most any of the recent digital trunktrackers can hear P25 just fine; however, the quality of the decoding varies between manufacturers. It seems (from all the discussions) that the new Uniden BCD396XT and GRE's PSR-500 and PSR-600 run neck to neck in that department.

If you want to know more about these scanners, use our wiki as a starting point. On the blue toolbar under the logo, float your mouse over Wiki and click on Radio Models (Note that anything in blue is a link). Click on the blue 'digital trunktrackers' link and follow the instructions.
