Does anyone have info on this year's Operation Nez-Rouge (Red Nose) in the
Outaouais/Ottawa area; usually on a trunked system, LTR or Moto in the past.
Possibly DMR (TRBO) this year though I notice older analog trunked systems
sometimes get used for temporary (rental) use at the end, before they get shut down.

Several days, 100 reads, no responses.

Is anyone interested?

Looks like there is a discussion on Infoscan but no mention of W. Quebec.

Hello again.

On the weekend later in the evening I will follow the DMR and NXDN systems that I have.

Should be some interesting listening late at night.
Will get back to you if I hear anything.

Thanks Mike. I'm surprised no W. Quebec listeners have mentioned Nez-Rouge as
it is an institution in Quebec. Perhaps the viewers thought by the title that the message
contains all the specifics. Not so fast...finding this stuff (as you're aware) often takes
time/effort.

On a side note, Moto system 693e in Hull, Type I system (CTM), has gone off the air in the
past few weeks. Recently all VCs had constant carrier with beeping, indicating failsoft
operation which I've seen in another case prior to shutdown. It was a good system
which at one time included rentals and special events, including Tour Nortel (when it
was called that).

Nez-Rouge

Hi Dave,

I have some time now, Friday evening so I am checking out some of the DMR activity, however there are so many sites now it will be difficult.
Also there a few NXDN sites , as you know.

Are there any sites that you could suggest that they might be on considering the geographical area they would most likely operate in. I don't know anything about them. Do they just serve the Quebec side? I am also looking to see what info is available on Internet.

Thanks Mike

I forgot to reply, and say that I found no activity for them on DMR.
Of course there are so many DMR sites not I could have missed them.

693e now LTR?

Dave,

There seems to be LTR LCN 06 on the frequency that 693e CC used, 855.3875.

Could you have a look and confirm this please. Seems unusual.

Thanks,
Mike

Good discovery Mike, looks like CTM has converted the whole system (CFL274) to LTR;
minus the lowest frequency 854.6375 which seems to have been dropped a while back.
I heard some talk in french, 0-06-028 I think, may have been snow plowing/removal.

The HRs for this system appear to be 10, 8, 6, and 4, plus "free" repeaters indicated are
1, 5, 9, 17, and 18 so looks like this is joined with another CTM system, this one:

Action 02 Trunking System, Gatineau, Quebec - Scanner Frequencies
