Default 2005 Impala-Any wiring running on top of the "hump"

I want to take some long self tapping screws to mount my TM-D700 remote radio to the "hump". Is there any wires that run along on the top side of the hump? Exact mounting location is under the seat on top of the "hump". I want the self tapping screws to actually screw into the body. I just don't want to hit any wires and can't really tell for sure if there are any. I have had both seats physically torn out and still couldn't tell.

TIA,

Tim

I would worry less about wires but more about other plumbing that can move out of the way.

The hump is for the exhaust pipe running to the rear of the car. I wouldn't think they would run wires on top of it, but you never know.

Be safe and take a small piece of plywood. about 8"x6" and take up the carpet from the passenger side trim and put that under the hump.It is easy to fold the carpet back to get it under there. It wont change the profile much and is more secure and wont possbly damage whats under there . Your HVAC vents to the back of the car are under there.

HVAC vents are under the seats aren't they? At least that is were I see the vents coming out at. Is there more then that running to the rear? If so, where do they go? I like the plywood idea, hopefully it doesn't physically raise the radio. If so, it might allow it to hit the bottom side of the seat, something I can't have.
