Default 2012 Tundra Crewmax install

Paid for an install today as it was much quicker and cleaner than doing it myself. Scanner is in the center storage, remote head on center console and amplified speaker under dash on passenger side. Photos:

That's a very nice install. What are you running for an antenna.

Thanks for the compliments. I have been very pleased so far with the 996XT. With the same antenna and mounting as my previous vehicle (with a PSR-600) I am sure the reception is much better.

I would have buried the main unit under the seat to free up the console.... Is it hard to read the display sideways ?

It is pretty tight under the seat, but I thought about giving it a try. I still have 3/4 of the console space left.

The display is easy to read in the position it is in. Sideways is not an issue. It is bright and clear regardless of light level.
