Default GRE PC Data Cable Software
I just ordered and received GRE's P/N: 30-3290 USB Scanner Data Cable. Neither the software that came with it, nor the download available on their website will load the driver. Can anyone help me with this? Win95 does not recognize the cable so I continually get error messages when attempting to upload to the PRO-95.

What OS are you using? Are you sure it didn't load did you check the COM Port number under Windows Device manager.

I run XP and STUPID me - I finally went to my COM ports in "devices" and found the correct COM port #. Once I put that in to Win95, all was well. Seems I don't really need the driver as XP recognized the cable for what it is and loaded a resident driver.

If you want the latest drivers. including those for x64 systems, you can get

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/...0Certified.zip

Works flawlessly in numerous OSs for me.
