Question Why Does Pro-2026 Not Have LTR

I like the loolks of the radio, but most of the systems around here use LTR. Does it use something else for it or would I be better off to get one of the other digital radio that has LTR?

The pro-2026 came out in the early 90's when there were not many (if any) LTR systems.

If you like that format, the pro-2055 does LTR as well as many other features that make it a much better scanner over the 2026. I say that as someone who owns a 2055 and used to own a 2026.

Thanks. I did notice that the 2026 came out a few years back. I have the 2055 now. I just want to upgrade to something digital, and then put this 2055 in my pickup.

The 2026 will not scan any trunking systems...

Nor will it scan digital systems...

Just get a newer scanner... you can find all the scanner information you could need in the Wiki:http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Main_Page

Click on the blue link above and halfway through the "Forum Specific Topics" you will see the different scanner manufacturer links. Once you've chosen a scanner manufacturer you can see the scanners we have wiki articles on.

Thanks. I have just about decided to get a GRE-600 or the Uniden BCD996T. I've got plenty of time to decide. I have to wait till tax refund time.
