Default Quick pro 96 question opening up under 25mgz

If im not mistaken I remember years back when the pro 96 came out there was some type of secret thingy option to open up more freqs as like under 25 mghzs!!
I cant find anywheres on here how to open up that option but i remember people saying that the scanner was totally terrible in reception when under 25.000mgz!!
Also I want to add there was a mode or some other freqs or somethning that was possible to open..I do not remember how this was done< im guessing it was hold in something while turning on the scanner or if it was a program of some sorts..
Could someone if heard of before give me some information on this please?
Thanx team!!

Default Pro-96 programming

Hi,

The only way that I know to open up additional frequency ranges, is to use WIN96 from Don Starr at starrsoft.com.
I really haven't tried out the additional ranges, but you simply just check off "extended frequencies" on the software page.

Good listening,

---bob
