Default Failure with Pro96 in Nashville, TN

I have a Pro96 and can't get it to work for Nashville - Davidson County. I have installed the latest firmware upgrade (UPG_14). I have tried both MOT 3600 normal and multitable. I use Win96 version 1.6.
I'm pretty sure I'm just missing something. Email me at antho10359@aol.com for a screen shot of my Win96 configuration but needless to say I am using all the frequencies and talkgroups listed for Nashville on RadioReference. I don't have any trouble receiving any other AP25/Mot digital systems. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

hmm make sure you have each channel programmed in MO mode & also the bank in MO mode. also each site in a different bank. also go ahead & program all the frequeencies, NOT just the cc's & alts. 3) post your p96 file here & let everyone take a look/ & last of all did you use the IMport feature to prograam or do by hand?

FUNC + 3 is not required for your system.

When on control frequency manually, you should see M:36 5D1D xx% on bottom line.

You need to zip the file prior to upload or change it to .txt.

You have rebanded 800 MHz set in extended tables. Could be scanner is looking for other voice frequencies. Open Extended tables and check 800 MHz bullet which will set standard band plan.

Then you do not have a control frequency in the list in bank 4, or you are no where in range of the transmitting tower.

Every thing else in this tread for Nashville depends on you getting this info (M:36 5D1D xx%) on line 4 when manually selecting the control frequency.

M:36 = MOT 3600 control channel
5D1D = SysID
xx% = decode rate of control channel
Even a 25% decode will get info.

I double checked and the listed control freq of 857.03750 and 855.9125 (as listed in this site's DB) as well as every other frequency are entered..... so I don't know what else to try.... I'm just outside the county line and monitored the analog signals for years (until the change to digital).

Thanks for all your help.

I changed antennas. The 4th line now reads M35:5D1D 33% however many of the transmissions are mostly grabled.

33% decode rate will get a lot of garble. Get closer to the tower.
