Default programming opp into pro 197

Just got back from the states and bought a 197 for $399 at radio shack. So now programming the thing is another story. I do not have a programming cable and want to listen to it now. How and what is the quickest way to program the opp (ontario). I live in paisley and would use the ki greatly kincardine control channel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Program TSYS as MOT VHF/UHF. Use the 1 page Programming Shortcut link under my signature.

At step 22 you get a prompt to SEL for Table 01: Do so, then enter data for step 23 through 26. Your system has three tables so continue to second table which requires SEL to start Hi Chan for this table. Third table requires you to start at 22 again using SEL

Remember, this scanner has a quarry as to what an entry means. Using FUNC + SEL at any point will provide a short description of what you need to do. After reading the description, press SEL again to go back to entry.
