How to: clone one Pro 96 to another Pro 96

Am I able to clone my Pro 96 to my friends Pro 96? His is completely clear after it has been initialized.
Can this be done without software?
What type of cable/plugs? I guess they're 1/8 plugs, right? Maybe there's a part number for such a cable he could buy?

Radio Shack 42-2387A or 42- 2420 cable.
Turn on both scanners and plug in cable to PC/IF ports.
Clone Mode to send, remove cable to exit should appear on both scanners.
Press ^ on scanner with data to send then 1 to confirm sending.
Wait for transfer completion then remove cable from both scanners.
