Default Repair of Pro-2096

Does anyone have experience with the repair of a Pro-2096?
I bought one of the last Pro-2096 radios available earlier this year. It did not work out of the box. Radio Shack authorized the return but I was reluctant to give it up because I have had great sucess with a number of them at work.
I did buy a Pro-197 and still have not mastered that remarkable radio. Thank you.

The radio comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Go to your local store and have ie sent to repair. As others on this list have said, they do a good job making scanners work.

Default Warranty

I had one quit after a few months. (It was the notorious, previously discussed, display problem.) Anyways, I brought it in, and I have a had working unit since. I had no trouble at all dealing with Radio Shack.
