quick digital scanner question

It is very clear that the pro 2096 can track digital trunking systems, but can it interpret digital P25 mode conventional frequencies as well? For example, a local town's dispatch in my area is on 453.6000MHz in P25 mode, as listed in the database. I am assuming that I just have to program this frequency and I can receive their digital PD transmissions. Is it that simple? Sorry, but I am knew to digital scanning.

Yes, the pro 2096 can receive P25 conventional.

great! thanks for the info. I just found out that a local radio shack here has a bunch of them in the back not even in boxes. I dont know what they were planning on doing with them, but maybe i can get a good price on one.

hmm unless it' very very cheap, I would wait a couple more weeks the 106/197 will be on sale with F & f coupon for 30% off. go to the shack homepage & sign up for their ad/emails & sit back & wait

. with hs they will be around $300 or cheaper

yeah im shooting for more of the 150 or less price range. Im gonna try to haggle a little bit :/

I bought mine for 199 back when they were officially being closed out. (Plus an extra $10 off with an Entertainment Book coupon.)
