Default EDAC channels

I am having problems programming EDAC channels on my Radio shack pro 2052 scanner. Do I need to use a computer program to do this?

No, but could start by telling us what system you aree trying to program, state & county etc. meanwhile here is an easy to read manual . Easier to Read Pro 2052 Scanner Manual
also look at this Pro-2052 - The RadioReference Wiki

Hi jayoellig welcome to RadioReference

Make sure that the EDACS system that you are programming is starting at a channel that ends with a 1.
(channel 001 in Bank 1, 051 in 2 , 101 in 3...etc)

You must program at the beginning of the bank and no where else within the bank. It just won't trunktrack otherwise.
That was a mistake I made with the 2052,(my first trunktracking radio) I wanted conventional channels first then decided to plunk the EDACS in the middle of the bank and soon found out that it didn't work that way.

Just hit the DATA button and the scanner will move along again after a brief pause on that freq.

Which one of the four sites are you trying to monitor here? Lebanon County Trunking System, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania - Scanner Frequencies

Yes,select a bank, then hit the TRUNK button and wait for it to beep twice.
Use the up or down arrow button and find Ed for EDACS trunk mode, press E
Enter the first freq. from the South site from the DB link, carry on until you get to the seventh and final freq.
Hit the SEARCH button, talk groups will show up, either in AFS form (04-021) or DEC for decimal (529)
It is a matter of preference on what you want to see.
The database here on RR prefers AFS and the radio probably will default to that display as well.

Good Luck

To add to what mciupa has said, any of the digital TG's that the scanner will not decode can be locked out by pushing the L/Out button. Your county has gone to EDACS ProVoice. There is no scanner, even digital, that can decode the "D" type TG's. Most of your county is analog. So, that shouldn't be a problem.

Please check that this is the case, especially since you claim to be hearing tx's.

Yes , put the scanner in Scan mode push Manual, a scanlist will appear each bank has 5 of them with 10 talkgroup ID's. They may be blank and look like this

1 - - - - -

That is where you put in the ID's you wrote down.

so if you want to enter 04-021 push these keys: 0 4 . 0 2 1 then E to enter it in the list.
Push SCAN and only what you programmed in will be heard rather than everything like when you are in SEARCH mode.
