Default Adapters and Adaptaplugs

Hi,

I'm looking for wall-plug adapters for the Pro-94, 96, and 97... Does anyone know which ones work (product #s?). Also which "adaptaplugs" (is that what theyre called)?

Thanks for any info.

From the Pro 97 manual...
http://www.radioshack.com/graphics/u...0527_PM_EN.pdf
"You can power the scanner using a 9V, 300 mA AC adapter and a size C Adaptaplug™ (neither supplied). Both are available at your local RadioShack store."

From the Pro 96 Manual...
http://www.radioshack.com/graphics/u...0526_PM_EN.pdf
"To charge batteries with a DC adapter from a DC power source, you must use a 9V, 300mA DC adapter such as RadioShack Cat. No. 273-1810 and a size C Adaptaplug™ (neither supplied)"

From the Pro 94 manual...
http://www.radioshack.com/graphics/u...0524_PM_EN.pdf
"You can power the scanner using an 9V, 300 mA AC adapter and a size H Adaptaplug™ adapter (neither supplied). Both are available at your local RadioShack store."

I do not see the 273-1810 "wall wart" on their website, but it appears to have been replaced with this one -
Catalog #: 273-314:
Enercell™ 9V/300mA AC Adapter - RadioShack.com

The Adaptaplug™ C: is Catalog #: 273-336
Enercell™ Adaptaplug™ C - RadioShack.com

The Adaptaplug™ H is Catalog #: 273-340
Enercell® Adaptaplug™ H - RadioShack.com

NOTE: I do not own any of these scanners. This information was (easily) found on the Radio Shack web site. That's all I can do short of buying them for you! I have 7 grandchildren (#8 is due around Thanksgiving) and Christmas isn't that far away so I am pretty sure you are on your own as far as buying them yourself!

Hmm... Well I've owned the scanners for years, and the reason I posted was because I could not find them on the website since they apparently don't sell them anymore. Thank you for the infomation, and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt in the hope that you're being sarcastic in a good-natured way.

Just bought a new car charger for my 106 and it came with several different adaptaplugs and the only one that fits is a "B" so they might vary depending on what you buy. Best bet is to got to the store with the scanner and they can try different plugs and see what fits.

Of course it was! I don't think anyone comes here to make enemies? (Although I have had to add a few people to my ignore list who seem to get some sort of pleasure from being argumentative!)

I don't own a Pro-106, but I looked up the manual and unlike the other models the OP listed, this one does not specify which Adaptaplug™ it takes. The only RS scanner I own is the Pro-404 and the manual for that also does not state what size plug it takes. Fortunately I was able to find the right size wall wart in my "junque" box, but I did have to cut the cable and reverse the polarity.

Uses the same one as the Pro-96 and 95, and as I remember when I bought it for those scanners way back when it was a C, now I get a new adapter and it is a B plug, so I would still say, take the scanner and have them fit it for you.

Radio Shack is in the process of changing suppliers and catalog numbers on all of the AC to DC adapters and adapter plugs. Just because you can not find the catalog number that is listed in the manual dose not mean that the "Shack" nolonger carries that item.

For the 96 and 97 scanners, use a 9V 300mA adapter with the "B" tip. I think the same adapter and tit works on the 94 but I could be wrong.
