Default PRO 2067 Audio Dead

I have a PRO 2067 and have used it in my office for many years. Today, I reinstalled the wires into my 12v transformer (I am sure the wires were in the right place and did not short) But shortly after turning it on, the audio died. Now it has nothing from the internal speaker or the external jack. Any ideas whats wrong and how should I go about fixing it?

try an earbud & see if it works, also spray the contacts with a can of compressed air . look inside the radio & see if jack is tight & all wires are where they should be

There is a common problem with this scanner going deaf. You may want to check Mods DK.

Mods DK.

If problem is on an 800 MHz trunking system use a current control frequency and adjust T101 Trimmer as follows:
Open scanner as in the link for Mods DK to removing VCO cover.
A phillips slotted trimmer should be easy to find called TC101.

With scanner power applied and turned on, manually select the above CC (insure it is active).

NOTE: DO NOT cause any movement of any coils embedded with glue. If this happens, you will need expensive instruments to re-align properly.

Note the position of the slots in the trimmer and slightly adjust CW, if the noise level drops stop and carefully go the other way. Find the loudest noise available.

The trimmer is set.

Of course, you must sign my standard disclaimer. ______________________

If needed a folder called Service & Repair has additional info plus service manual at this link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pro92/files/
