Default 2096 Programming

I recently got a PRO-2096 and started programming it last night. It started off a little rocky as for some reason, right out of the box the scanner was in the Virtual Scanner Mode, and just happend to be scanning my area up here in Massachusetts. I just re-set and inintialized the scanner and then went to work programming the radio.

If you have the 2096 or 96 I would strongly advise using the web option for programming this radio. This feature works with Radio Reference and you can download trunk radio programming right into the scanner. You just need to keep an eye on what sites and talkgroups you are importating. It's easy to do and saved probably 6-8 hrours worth of typing!!

Oh yeah the radio works great too.
