Pro 97, need help, broken

Last week I tried to turn off my scanner and it wouldn't turn off, the button is broken. It needed new batteries so I replaced them, and when I wanted to turn it off I would take the batteries out. Now it won't come on at all, screen doesn't light up and no sound at all. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do or where I can take it to have it repaired?

For $20, your local Radio Shack can send it to the repair center. The Repair center will then call you with an estimate of the total cost of repair.

Did you get it fixed? If not I have a 97 that can let go cheap. Send me a PM and we can discuss it? I'm sure it will be cheaper than getting yours repaired?
