how do i upgrade firmware

how do I upgrade the firmware on my pro 106. I have upgraded unidens before but had to use a program. Is there a program to use on the pro 106?

Download this file from Radio Shack, and run it. Follow the directions.

The directions can be found on the PRO-106 product page at radioshack.com - go down about 1/2 way and click on the PRODUCT SUPPORT tab

Go to radioshack.com Search for your radio then click on manual then click on the latest update link
to update your scanner

Im not sure if you have it but youll need the cable by gre or radioshack not sure what you have for uniden and if that will work. LOVE AND BLESSINGS

i have that cable.....used it to program the scanner. Thank you everyone

I just recently did mine... Download the file from the above link. Double click on the file. It's a zipped file, it will self extract. Once it's done, it will have a copuple of files. Connect your scanner to the pc. Follow the instructions from the PDF/text file. ie.. double click the the CPU updater file. You may have to play with the com port settings till you get the right one for your computer.
