I'm not aware of any free software at this time. However, PSREdit500 can be ordered by mail (click on the link on the website for instructions & an order form to send in).

Depends on your defination of "free". The three major software programs have a free 30 day trial period where you get full access to the software to fully try it out to see how you like it. After that period, the software requires you to enter a personalized key to get pass the key entry screen. This key is provided when you purchase the software.

It's strongly recommended that you try all three to see which is the best fit for you. There's no real "best" of them since they all pretty much have the same features and only differ in how they present them to the user. One may work exactly how I do and be totally confusing to you while the one that totally confuses me works exactly how you expect it should for how your mind processes things.

The software packages that you want works with both the Radio Shack Pro-106 and Pro-197 also works with the GRE PSR-500 and PSR-600. Since the PSR-500 was the first one that was offered for sale, most of them are named with "500" in them. The big three are:

Win-500 - written by the person that did the firmware for this series of scanners (Win500: PSR-500, PSR-600, PRO-106, PRO-197, PSR-310, PSR-410 Scanner Software for Data Management, Monitoring, and Control)
ARC500 and ARC500Pro - Butel Software
PSREdit500 - PSREdit500 - Configuration Editor for the PSR-500, PSR-600, PRO-106, and PRO-197 Scanners

Other software is on this page of the RR WIKI, but they generally don't do programming, but handle other tasks that you may find useful - Object Oriented Scanner Software - The RadioReference Wiki

Actually the Object Oriented Software wiki has the links for ALL compatible software for those 2 scanners, not just things like IDTracker...Mike

I could/would do it by hand but i don't know where to get the HI, LO , OFFSET etc. info. to enter into the Tables. My scanner is currently working alright now after rebanding in my area and me entering the 2 new control channels & someone giving me the new Table info. But i would like to know where to get the Table info. in case there is another rebanding in the future.

Go to the 'rebanding support' section of this article, and click on the image you'll find there. Lines 00 and 01 are the ones you need.

Ok so if I'm understanding this correctly all you do for the Win500 software is click on the 800mhz rebanded tab and the scanner will find the rebranded trunked systems? Like for instance the New Jersey State Police?

Someone emailed me the values to enter into the Tables and the scanner worked fine after inputting them. But after seeing your reply i checked the table and one entry was different than the ones emailed me .So i reprogrammed with RR Object Oriented ...Software image of Tables . After doing so the scanner went back to not working properly, i was not getting the car radio traffic every time ( but sometimes i did) This was the issue i was having after 800 reband in my area and me just programming the 2 new control freq. in scanner, then i was told i needed to change Tables also. The new TABLE values i was emailed are all the same as line 00 &01 except the HI CH in line 01 is 439 instead of 719. 719 makes my radios not function properly.
