Default Pro-106 discriminator tap

I've heard that the PC jack on the radio can be used as a discriminator tap. So if I have software to "decipher" EDACS, can i plug in the programming cable to a laptop and decode it?

The 106 does EDACS, no tap needed.

If one were in No-Voice, oops I mean EDACS Pro-Voice land like some of us folks are ,
I would think the driver of a Pro-106 could go "Hogwild" getting to listen to EDACS Pro-Voice !
LQQk up in the RR Wiki how to use the Unitrunker and DSD ( Digital Speach Decoding ) software.
In Unitrunker it's GREat to have 2 scanners, 1 for "Inline" mode and 1 for "control" mode operation.

The pro-106 jack works for Unitrunker. But I believe that you HAVE to tap it to use DSD!

Yes,,a tap is indeed needed for the 106 to feed DSD.

the pre filtered audio is piped into the soundcard.,and the levels
can be adjusted from there to get a good signal..
