I dont have the Pro-106 but yes, I think I do have that fixation. I frequently download whole lists of frequencies to add to the scanner just so I don't miss anything. Problem I found yesterday was that I downloaded a whole bunch of store frequencies (for example Home Depot) but when I headed out I found that other store use the same frequency so unless Home Depot really do sell children's toys, my ID tags are junk.

Hahaha, thats good. I signal stalked Home Depot in somersworth N.H.. My pro 96 kept giving a dcs and P.L on their freqs. Remember-P.L--private LIne..If you got a scanner that decodes PL--DCS, get it and hopefully that will be that. I once brought an analog scanner to Sears in Newington. As I was going from Portsmouth circle down ROUTE 16-AKA Spaulding turnpike, I heard others using the same freq as another store-in Kittery Maine. After I upgraded to a pro 96, I noticed a big change in reception. Put a PL in, and SEPARATED the entities. On that analog scanner, at the Fox run mall-Someone came over a freq and said they made $1,000.00 already. Think it was J.C Penny.. Well, good luck, P.L and DCS decoding is the way to go nowadays. Only in a certain spot will an analog scanner-that dont do P.L's, you can use it. Other wise, in other places near repeaters it will go screwy sometimes..

try listenning to a septic company. I got 3. 2 are trunked-sepparate systems, 1 simplex vhf, just went from pl to dc..Oil companies are also a riot. Plus, you hear whats going on if they are late getting to you.
