Default Radio Shack

Ive got an issue with a PRO-106. I live near a cell site. Im hearing the control channel on the P25 state system in Kansas great. Decoding the control channel at 99%. One certain voice channel will not come thru. the scanner just stops on it but no audio will ever come thru. im sure the cell site is causing interference on that channel. ive tried turning on the att but it kills the entire control channel. any suggestions on what to do?

Is it a voice CHANNEL or a TALK GROUP?
If it is a talk group it quite possibly could be an encrypted talk group and therefore will not pass any audio.
In some (not many) I have also seen some of the encrypted talk groups directed towards certain Voice Channels as a matter of priority.
It could also be a voice channel for passing telemetry, data or GPS info. Have you entered just that frequency and listened to it alone?

Thumbs up

Also do not use a external outdoor antenna, but use a duck instead to decrease the chance of it being overloaded.

Wirelessly posted (Moto Droid Bionic: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.0.4; en-us; DROID BIONIC Build/6.7.2-223_DBN_M4-23) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/534.30)

I think you can turn on ATT per channel. I can't get to my computer or scanner for a few days to check this, sorry. HTH.

That's what I do, I have like 5 channels I have to us the ATT on, because of the University radio station, I'm so close to, Less than a 500 yards.
