Default Pro-2006 won't program new narrow channels

My PRO-2006 will no longer program new interoperable narrow banded frequincies Maryland has implemented, SHA, MdTA, etc...for example, if I program in (774.568), then, what appears after it push enter is (774.565). Essentially, what is occuring is the last digit (.56(8)of the frequency is not being recognized and i'm confused why this scanner willnot accept this narrow banding "half-step" odd number frequencies. Will someone please explain this to me please. Thanks, Danny

Default 2006 narrow band

The scanner is 20 plus years old way before anyone thought of narrow band. It may still receive the frequency but not display it. Most scanners front end is wide enough they will work. The narrow band frequencies should all be in effect as of Jan 1. If you want ti to read correctly or if you have any trouble receiving them you will need a new scanner.

I'm pretty sure everything in that band will be digital anyway, so unless you want to use it for data decoding it wouldn't hear any voice anyway.
