Default Pro-164 narrow band

Will the pro-164 do narrow band?

I have one and I don't believe it does. I was testing with narrowband freqs and the scanner is very quiet on them. I could be wrong though.

If you are scanning vhf-uhf, it should be fine.However-I would put it on nfm, thr pro106, you have to edit the freq, scroll way down to modulation and push you right arrow on pad. Unidens scanners do have that going for them-auto modulation, will show what brand of f.m.. On the scanners that dont have ctcss and dcs squelch--old models--you cant even tell. I've put allll of my enetities to nfm, alot of editting..

Not exactly the 164 only can choose am fm or Dcss and ctcss. Thier is no option for nfm. And thier is a big difference on it. Now tonight I'm going to look how to modify if to get the correct deviation.

The Pro-164 does accept the proper spacing for narrow band frequencies but you haven't got the ability to select narrow band FM, so much easier that way.

pro96 I saw the comments about uses listed.its for sale on ebay? for one listed as tcxo 6.25 what does that mean
