Default RS pro 97 question

I have had a pro 97 for a couple years now. Never used it for trunked systems as my area was all conventional. That is up until now. A city near me has switched to a p25 system. I did a quick research and found the pro 97 only monitors analog trunked systems. I think the P25 is digital. Correct? Is this just an outdated scanner now as far as monitoring trunked radio? Is digital the growing trend with new radio systems?

Thank you,
Doug

Correct.

Pro-97 will not demodulate or follow P25.

Digital has been THE system here in Colorado for over 10 years now.
