How can I use both letters and numbers to name TGRPS in my Pro 197?

If you're talking about the tags, then you should refer to the following links:
Easier to Read Pro-106/197/PSR500/600 Digital Scanner Manual

If you are visually oriented, try the first minute or so of the video, the Pro-106 programs exactly the same so do not worry about the difference:
How To Program the PRO-106 Digital Trunking Scanner - YouTube

To program a number, you hit "1" and then the number to get the number you want, special symbols are "0" first. I found it pretty tricky at first, but you get used to it.

I hope this helps.

Let’s say you want to name it “FIRE1” for example. You hit the 3 key (DEF) and hit 3 again because F is the 3rd choice; then 4 (GHI), 3 for the I, etc. For number one, hit the 1 key and then hit it again. For other numbers hit 1 and then the number. CL is for clear if you make an error. Hope this helps.
