As long as you have the control channels programmed into the first four channels of the bank and the bank set to MOT it should work fine since the system is analog. If you wish to upgrade I suggest the Pro-106. And be sure to purchase the programming cable and buy Win500 online. I don't know if or when your county will go to a P-25 system, but it's a good idea to be ready, if and/or when. There are also Uniden models that will do the same thing.

Correct, if the system has been rebanded, the Pro-97 won't work. The Pro-164 is the upgraded model of the 97 I think. If you like that radio.

All the freqs. in that system can be tracked by your PRO-97. Just put in the 4 control channels.
