Default Can a Pro-106 even follow Edacs Networked w/ESK & Provoice?

Ok so in a nutshell I am wondering if a Pro-106 can even follow a Networked Standard with esk provoice system. I do not care necessarily if I can listen to it just will the scanner even follow it in the first place? I understand the provoice wont demodulate, but does that have any bearing on if the scanner will follow the system? The reason i'm asking is I want to see what tg's are being used whether i can hear what they're saying or not doesn't matter to me. I have 3 channels all pro-voice with a control channel as-well with C:07 S:11. Any help would be appreciated

I should handle those just fine if you program an EDACS system with the proper LCN order. ProVoice really shouldn't have an effect on assigning talkgroups to a voice frequency and all that.

I use to have the psr-500 years ago it showed the control channel like C:07 S:11. I was wonder if the pro106 does the same as the psr500? I see 2 systems in EDACS I can't get the the LCN in order.

I was just about to comment on that, it seems like the pro-106 doesn't put these frequencies in order as it's said to be able to do that. That's what got me wondering as to if it will even do that with the pro-voice.

I have the psr-800 and it puts LCN in order on LTR but not the 7/8/900. If the pro-106 says 855.88758 C:01 S:01 I get it cause than I can get the Edacs order like the 500 does. I wish that 500 didn't go on fritz and turn into a DOA.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8320/4.5.0.81 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

The 106 does NOT automove LCN on EDACS, only LTR.

I understand the LTR will automove it. But If you are on a CC on a system it shows the freq and C:01 or what ever it will say. I guess I'll go to radio shack and see if I can see the set up.

There's never been a scanner that moves EDACS LC's. As you see the currently active CC will show what LCN it is. If a particular system rotates CC's regularly, this can eventually get you LCN's for those freqs too. Much quicker to just have one scanner hooked up to UT and another to moniter all the system freqs with. Pretty much necessary anyway since it's doubtful every system freq. is going to be in the CC rotation.

Some of the very first firmwares on that series of scanners would follow PV TG's but that was fixed long ago.

The only thing, I know of, that has an option to track PV TG's is the PSR800. One of several unique features that makes it one of the best trunking scanners on the market right now.
