Default Looking to find Good Website New/used scanners

Been trying ebay & Amazon just cant seem get the higher bids.. Looking for Pro97 or Pro92 portable scanners. If anyone can direct me some place that has them or not going be paying arm & leg for would appreciate it or should just spend the $189 at the shack and get the new series out?

Thanks for the advice..
Steve

While they were great in their day, they're pretty old scanners and may not work with many of the newer (or recently changed) systems. They're analog only so they won't work with the digital systems. They also do not support many of the rebanded 800 MHz systems and may have issues with narrowband systems on the VHF and UHF bands.

You may want to first check with the RR database to see what types of systems are in your area and then look at the newer scanners that can properly handle those types of systems. A new scanner (or perhaps even a refurbished version of them) may not be much more than those old scanners often go for on eBay. They will have a warranty and probably some firmware updates that may fix some issues, something that those old scanners won't have.

Always forget about all features on this site.. have the 97 but its taking turn for worse monitor numerous LTR systems but the EDACS system in my area is now full digital and Bethlehem City is Digital in PA which really dont monitor.

Need LTR Trunking, basic 800 Trunking and of course PL/DPL tracking
