Default Another Pro -106 ID display issue

Anyone know what would cause a Pro-106 to not display the radio ID and only the talkgroup number? It will only show radio ID's during I-calls but not with the regular traffic on a talkgroup. I use WIN500 software and the "show radio ID's for group calls" box is checked. I did do some reprogramming recently but only to add a couple of conventional frequencies so I am not sure what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.--Thanks!

Has it worked in the past and have you tried to verify that the setting is active on the scanner itself? You can do this by hitting PGM > FUNC > F3 (GLOB) and scrolling to the bottom until you see 'Show RadioID: Yes/No'.

If it's on, does it only sometimes show the RadioID, or never? If you only occasionally get RadioIDs, then it could be caused by a number of things. You mentioned that you have a few conventional frequencies in your scanner. If you scan those simultaneously, it will stop tracking the TRS for a couple of seconds to check those frequencies out before returning to the TRS. The Pro-106 only picks up RadioIDs from the control channel at the very beginning of a transmission so if it cuts in halfway, then it won't display a RadioID.

If it never gets a RadioID, then I don't know what would be causing that.

I checked it manually and it is set to see the radio ID's. I used to see them all the time even while scanning both trunking and conventional frequencies. The only way I am seeing the radio ID's now is if they are using I-Calls...........otherwise only the talkgroup is being displayed for normal traffic. Any other ideas?

Also......the conventional frequencies are in a separate bank so I have shut that off for now and am listening to only the trunking bank and it is still doing the same thing.

The RS106 does NOT show "RID's" on conventional freqys...The RID comes thru the CC info which conv- do not have...I have a EDACS system here in my area and sometimes for some unknown reason the RID's do not show up then there back...This system dispatches for many municipalities and i think that may be the reason....It works perfect when u manually sit on a TG but here and there when in scan....

I know that the ID's don't show up on conventional.......but they no longer do on my trunking channels either and they used too. Now they only show up when there is an I-Call. I'm just not sure how it changed when the only thing I have done was add some conventional channels to a bank that has nothing to do with trunking. Any more input would be appreciated!
