Not really. In the first five pages of that thread I'm sure there is everything you need to know. That would cut down on your reading
1. Make sure the firmware in your scanner is of recent vintage to support rebanding
2. For each site on a system that has been rebanded, remove the old 860 mhz control channels and add the new 850 mhz control channels
3. Set your trunking tables up to use the custom trunking tables for rebanding.
You've got two different makes of scanners, each of which requires different instructions.
Bottom line is that you must add the new control channels [and should remove the old ones] and then set up the rebanded bandplan for each site that has been rebanded AND tell the scan to use that custom bandplan.
In the Wiki, for your particular scanner model, there is likely information regarding how to do that. In the Wiki, for each programming software used, there is likely instructions on how to program the a rebanded site.
The legwork is good for you.
