Default firmware

wondering if the new 2.1version of firmware in the new radshack 650 loadable to pro 106? And is one avail.? Havnt seen any upgrades on RS.com.. ck 650

i don't think so i think they stopped supporting the pro 197/106 when gre opt out

I worked in the firmware industry for over 30 years. The common practice with any FW load procedure is to first check model number of the target device and verify that it is the same model as the new FW. If not, then refuse to do the load. This is true even when the same FW base is used for multiple products. In that case, a different FW build is done for each of the various models, and each build will work only for its specific model number.
