There have been a few posts here about this recently...... Radio Shack has recently re-vamped it's entire web site, and the pages that contain the downloads for the PRO197 firmware (and others) appear to be no longer available at this time.

Try the Yahoo Groups for the PRO197.

If you did a search on this website in the upper right corner Im sure you would find it and it is in the radio shack forum.

The 197 uses the same firmware as the 106.
Here is version 1.9, 2.0, 2.1.

If for some reason you want to go back to an older version then use an older version. One of the versions they removed some the the 700mhz frequencies. Ronaldski if you want to copy the older versions then just help yourself.
