Pro-668: WS1095 Vs PRO668

First off I know one is a base/mobile and the other is a handheld.. I also know that one is branded as Radio Shack and the other is Whistler...

My questions are:

Is there a Circuitry difference between them?..
Is the Microprocessor the same?
Is the RF section the same?
Is the memory size the same?

I want to take one of my sub $200.00 PRO668's and repackage it into a mobile unit..
I have read a lot of GOOD reviews of the WS1095 and really don't want to pay the $4-500.00 price if I already have it in a handheld package.

Anybody have the FACTS on these two radios?

Would be nice to get hold of the schematics for both.

As the 1095 is a brand new model .... i doubt they just repackaged a 668, though I cannot swear to it.

I'm hoping to see a 1095 in person and see how it performs and sounds.

IMHO the 668's have weak audio output levels .... but it is a handheld.

That's why I'm re casing the 688 with a 15 watt audio amp and a mobile power supply (12v to 5V).. More audio, better/larger speaker, decent antenna... Oh what more could I want ?
