Pro-163 how to put into program mode using cable and RR

I have Win97 and a cable from valley enterprises and have their drivers installed all ok.
The cable has added connector to make it single or stereo type.
I go to the RR site and find the freqs I want to down load for Manatee country and download them into win97 and
how do I get the pro-163 into a mode to receive the files from win97????

It need to be in some type of a download mode so I can send the files to it from win97 that
I downloaded from RR.????

Just power the scanner. It will receive while in any mode. If you get errors, then just park it in MAN mode on any channel. I find that works better than in SCAN mode.

Found my problem. I didn't see the right download menu for the Pro-163.
I have it working now.
