Has anyone noticed a difference in the hardware between different versions of the PRO-651 and PRO-652? I have a Win500 configuration I've used for years on my PRO-106 and since 2014, my PRO-652 (manufactured the middle of 2014), without any issues. I recently picked up a PRO-651 (manufactured the end of 2015) and noticed after uploading my Win500 configuration to it, the RSSI bars were barely showing anything even if a full strength signal was being received. After resetting the scanner and reading the default configuration into Win500, I noticed the RSSI bar thresholds were significantly different than what worked on my PRO-106 and PRO-652. Both the PRO-652 and PRO-651 are running the latest firmware as per RadioShack's website. Does my PRO-651 have some hardware change(s) that the PRO-652 didn't have? Does anyone know of any variances between models of these scanners manufactured between 2014 and 2015? I could see these differences existing between the GRE manufactured PRO-106 and the Whistler manufactured PRO-652, but not between the PRO-652 and the PRO-651. Thanks.

I have read those threads before and it makes sense for the thresholds to differ between the GRE and Whistler models, but I'm very confused as to why they differ between the two Whistler models. It makes me wonder if they changed something between when the two Whistler models I have were manufactured. Anyone else notice similar behavior?

When you start up the radios push the 3 key to see what firmware you have. Sounds like one of them is 2.6 and the other is 2.8 or 2.9.
Then go back to those threads above and setup the rssi #'s accordingly.

I have two pro 652 and they are different.

If you search the subject you will find the early versions used the same hardware/vendor as the pro 106/197. Later models had a hardware/vendor change.
