All I can say is "Wow!". I was so disappointed with the PRO-668 on Digital P25 using RS stock firmware, but this thing now with Whistler 1080 Firmware 4.5 coupled with an RS 800 short antenna is working great. Much, much less simulcast distortion and garbled audio than before.

i'm happy my GRE-800 is now a 1080 with DMR had taken me a few days to get it right glad i did it Thanks Eric

Yeah, I got caught by the v4.6 issue, which I hadn't read about prior to trying the process. I then downloaded v4.5 using a link someone provided and things ran like clockwork.

Default Put on SD Card??

Do you need to load the GREtool and EXSCAN, GREFwTool and the 1080 drivers on to the SD Card first, or just run them on the fly from a folder? Thanks.

Just use the drivers that you would normally use. If you can comm with it then that's all that matters. Nothing is installed on the card.
