Pro 2096 scanning speed

Is it just me or does the pro 2096 scan pretty slow.

Iam only using 2 banks with no trunking systems and my old scanner pro 2040 scans a hell of alot faster with the same number of frequencies in it. Also delays are not on.

It just seems to me that they could of made the 2096 scan alot faster than it currently does. I would hate to use more than 2 banks with it, cause its just to damn slow.

I was listening to both my 1096 and my pro-2052 today and I would say the 52 is faster than the 2096

I have a 97, and I dont know if it's the same thing with the 96, but when the squelch is fully open (and PLs and DPLs plugged in) it scans REALLY slow... i close the squelch a little and it scans faster...
