Default SAME Weather Codes For PRO-96

Can anybody tell me how I can program the SAME weather codes into my Pro-96 scanner. I read the owner's manual and I am more confused than when I started. I am running the Win96 program, I just dont understand where to put the FIPS codes and the SAME codes where or what the diffrence even is

If you're running Win96, it's easy.

Click on Settings/Weather.

See the box on the lower right that says NWR SAME codes?

That's where you put the SAME codes. Add a text tag if you like.

For scanner reference, FIPS and SAME is essentially the same thing.
