Default Upgrade to pro-83 from pro-92 worth it?

hi, I got a pro-92 (we don't have digital here its all conventional )I mainly listen to the emergency frequencies.I can get the pro-83 for 80 dollars but would the improvement be worth it or should I stay with the pro-92.Seems like the stalker feature is real nice..Thanks And I'm sorry for such a lame question..Oh and also what antenna would be best for improving my reception?I don't listen to any of the 800 freg. just mainly 100-500 mhz

I would spend a little extra cash if you have it and get the Pro-95 it offers the alpha tags which is worth the extra money in my books. I also like the Win95 program you can download for free for this scanner makes programming it a snap.

Correct but its not too bad a deal espically if your area ever goes trunk unless they go digital trunked and then the 95 won't do no good. The uniden 246T which I also have does the CTCSS or DCS it cost a little bit more about $219 but it offers the close capture feature and the alpha tags

So does the PRO-92 that he already has. I think the PRO-83 seems to be more like a novelty item for most of us that have it.

i LOVE my pro-92.. the ONLY scanner that will be replacing it anytime soon (in my book atleast) is the uniden 246t.

heck if i get that, i can sell my pro-92 AND my pro-83..

hmm tempting for sure.
